The

patients relate personally to the symbols of beauty and wholeness. They
feel better as they identify with Joan's depiction's of people of
all ages and backgrounds, in various states of recovery, CELEBRATING
LIFE. Recent mind/body research has dramatically increased our society's
awareness of the powerful role that the mind plays in the healing process.
At the same time , many health care providers are turning to the arts for
assistance in creating environments which are more conductive to healing.
